Goals- Max Rowbotham, Osita
The Abbey School travelled away to Maplesden Noakes in Maidstone, where two strong teams faced each other in a good match. Maplesden Noakes broke the dead lock 10 minutes into the half by a mistake from the abbey school. Maplesden kept the ball well for the duration of the half and scored another goal before the break.
The second a half started a lot like the first did but with the abbey school looking more dangerous and pressing the ball higher up the pitch. But Maplesden scored another to make it 3-0 to the home side. The abbey carried on looking bright and having a bit more possession, we strung together a number of passes which lead to Osita making a great run down the right hand side and drilled a low cross across the box for Max Rowbotham who fired into the top of the net with his left foot. Straight after, The Abbey was looking vulnerable and leaving gaps in defence the home side scored a forth. Heading into the last quarter of the game, Osita showed a bit of magic by taking on two players to finish with a finessed shot into the far top corner of the goal. The match finished 4-2 with Mapleden Noakes coming out on top.
