THE ABBEY SCHOOL – THURSDAY 23 AUGUST 2018
Catrin Woodend, Headteacher of The Abbey School, celebrated with students this morning as they collected their GCSE results.
“We are delighted to see another improvement in the GCSE results. This is a poignant year as Headteacher as I retire from Headship after 12 years. I am exceptionally proud to see the achievements of our students. They are leaving with very strong results which will allow them to follow the next stage in their journey. All students should be very proud of what they have achieved, there are some fantastic individual results. Our highest achieving students are the following, all attaining some of the highest scores possible:
Amber Dowling, Lauren Hunt, Katherine Logie, Jessica Dangerfield, Julia Martin, Bradley Rickard, Cameron Slaughter, Benjamin White, Zara Young, Julia Casagrandi-Cooper, Theo Dare, Tommy Dollman, Jay Morrobel, Hayley Pugsley, Charlie Robinson, Chantel Stimpson and Lauren Trumper.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank teaching and support staff for all the care and commitment they have shown our students over the last five years. I wish them well on the next stage of the journey.”
